Alex Červený (1963) is a visual artist from São Paulo, Brazil. With a self-taught background, his artistic trajectory began in drawing and printmaking, later expanding into painting, ceramics, and bronze. His works evoke a fantastical universe and explore an iconography that weaves together historical references, everyday culture, and personal memories. Červený participated in the 21st São Paulo Biennial and, more recently, exhibited in shows at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, Triennale Milano, Biennale of Sydney, Power Station of Art, and Gwangju Biennale. In 2023, he held the solo exhibition Mirabilia at the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, which brought together more than 100 works produced throughout his 40-year career.
