Rita Wainer

Rita Wainer was born in São Paulo in 1977. She is an illustrator, a visual artist, a street artist and a fashion designer; Rita is all that and much more.  After years of working in fashion and showing her collections at SPFW and Fashion Rio, she decided to dedicate herself to painting. In her art, she plays around with expressive lines in a playful universe made up of bloody hearts, stars, flowers and sharks full of exciting and loving girls and text combinations. She uses a female alter ego to reclaim current female roles. Her art touches deep feelings and is direct in regards to universal female issues. Rita likes to create using mixed media; she puts her ideas on papers, plates, walls or any other platform which suits her creations. She uses the internet extensively as a communication tool to promote her images and poetry on social media. She has lived and worked in Rio de Janeiro since 2013.

Sardine - Saudade

This one is for hard times. Crossing oceans in the form of affection. Even when all roads seem torturous. Find in it a long sigh of love! Designer: Rita Wainer
